Traci Dempsey Schindewolf, MA, LPC (Serving clients in The Woodlands) 

Traci is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Baylor University and a master’s degree in psychology from Houston Baptist University. Traci has over 6 years of experience in counseling working with a variety of concerns including depression, relationships, self-esteem, and anxiety. She has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, a large local church counseling center and has helped in working with families through a divorce recovery program at a local church. In addition, Traci specializes in working with adolescents and their parents to help navigate challenges often faced by teens. Traci’s goal is to offer clients a relaxed and genuine counseling experience, one in which she will strive to encourage and offer guidance and support.

Joy Ryan, MA, LPC, RPT (Serving clients in The Woodlands and Magnolia)

Joy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. She holds a masters degree in counseling from Sam Houston State University and an additional masters degree in Christian Education from Southwestern Theological Seminary. Joy has 8 years of experience working with and providing pastoral care for preteens and teens in youth ministry. She has over two years of experience in counseling that has included working with school-age children using play therapy to address trauma, anxiety, depression and adjustment to significant family changes, providing therapy services for adolescents and families in a community mental health setting, individual counseling services in a church counseling center and provision of professional counseling services to women and their families in a community health clinic. 

Courtney Dowling Crawford, MS, LPC, RPT (Serving clients in The Woodlands) 

Courtney is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist.  She holds a masters degree in counseling with an emphasis on child and adolescent counseling from Southern Methodist University.  Courtney has over 5 years of experience providing counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, and families.  Courtney has worked in counseling agencies, private practice, in-patient hospitals, and out-patient hospitals.  Courtney has experience working with a variety of different client needs, including: anxiety, depression, OCD, anger management, parenting, relationship issues. Courtney employs techniques from various therapeutic approaches on a case-by-case basis. Courtney works with her clients in a collaborative and active therapeutic environment where goals are set to systematically move toward the client’s ideal self.  Courtney believes that we as humans are resilient and through encouragement clients can create a new blueprint for their actions.

Derek G. Prins, MA, LPC (Serving clients in The Woodlands) 

Derek is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  He holds a masters degree in psychology from Houston Baptist University after discovering the benefit and profound impact his own journey in therapy produced.   He enjoys working with a variety of clients from 6 years old and up, male adolescents, young adults and adults in individual and family settings. He believes that at heart therapy is relational and so each therapeutic relationship is tailored to the needs of each client, working on issues of anxiety, depression, life changes/direction, family dynamics as they play out in both children and adults. He is a very active member at his church where he serves in multiple capacities and ministries.  His hope and his heart is to see people walk in healing and wholeness.

​J. Gregory Ryan, PsyD, LSSP, BCBA-D (Serving clients in The Woodlands)

Dr. Ryan is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiner's of Psychologists as a licensed clinical psychologist as well as a licensed specialist in school psychology. He is also a doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) and is trained to equip parents to effectively address their child’s behavioral challenges. Dr. Ryan has over 15 years of professional experience that has included working in an outpatient hospital setting, residential treatment facility, college counseling center, and private as well as public school settings. Dr. Ryan enjoys working with all age groups, including couples and families, and also provides psychological evaluations related to issues with learning, attention, personality assessment and clarification of diagnosis with an emphasis on functional and practical recommendations. He obtained a PsyD in clinical psychology from Wheaton College, whose program is Faith-based and approved by the American Psychological Association.

OUR TEAM

At Connect, all of our clinicians are licensed professionals in the areas of counseling or clinical psychology. We value collaboration, and you will find a supportive atmosphere where you and your clinician will work together to identify goals for services and develop ways of measuring progress. All clinicians have training and experience integrating the Christian faith into their practice, and when requested by clients, our clinicians are comfortable discussing and incorporating spiritual concepts into sessions with clients of all ages. Kellie Cole, MEd, LPC, RPT-S (Serving clients in The Woodlands and Magnolia)

Kellie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a masters degree Counseling and Play Therapy. She has special training working with children, teenagers, adults and families and enjoys teaching parents therapeutic skills so that they can assist their children with trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, separation, grief and/or adjustment issues. She has over 20 years of experience as a program and clinical director providing therapy, running groups, supervising counselors and administrative staff in community mental health and church counseling centers. Recognizing that each person is a unique individual, Kellie has developed expertise in a variety of approaches, including play therapy, child-parent relationship therapy, sand tray work, trauma recovery, group work, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.  Kellie works to tailor therapy to the individual helps clients focus on strengths, rather than weaknesses.
